About Our Ecosystem

AGI Construction, DFO313, and the Design-Build Green Hub.

From Contractors to Community Builders.

DFO313 was born from the real challenges of building an inclusive development ecosystem in a rapidly changing Detroit, a place where community, culture, and the legacy of our builders deserved to be centered, protected, and elevated. Our mission is to drive entrepreneurial growth, equitable development, and community wealth-building by expanding access to industry-specific resources, strengthening neighborhoods and reshaping development for us and by us.

AGI Construction was started by Detroit natives Luis Ali and Tanya Saldivar-Ali. They saw construction as more than buildings — it’s a path to economic opportunity, dignity, and generational wealth through safe, beautiful, affordable homes for Detroiters.

As AGI grew, we saw that Detroit’s construction system didn’t support the people doing the work. Local builders, especially from underrepresented communities, lacked access, visibility, and resources to grow.

We decided to rebuild the system from the ground up to honor and empower the people who sustain Detroit neighborhoods.
